- I am rehoming several pairs/groups of prairie dogs. I have neutered males and spayed females as well as some that are intact. I am rehoming in same sex pairs or groups only, and bonded groups must stay together. They will come with their cages and one 15 inch Chin Spin wheel per group. Most groups are in two connected double critter nations. Some groups are in triple critter nations, and some groups of 2 are in double critter nations.
Most are very friendly and tame, some are skittish but not mean and can probably come around with consistent work, and two are pretty bitey even though they are fixed. I am probably going to keep the bitey ones because I do not want to risk anyone else getting bit. I am happy with them just running around the house and not interacting with me.
I will be picky about where they go. I will bring them to you. I want to see where they will be living and with who. I do not want them getting bounced around from home to home as they need a place where they can settle and feel safe. I also request that if you cannot keep them or if it does not work out for any reason, they come back to me. I love them all but am overwhelmed with personal issues going on and want them to go to people who can give them all the one on one attention they deserve. They are all healthy and have regular vet visits but they need to be spoiled by someone who has more time. The price is negotiable. The more comfortable I am with you, the less the price will be. If you have experience with prairie dogs and veterinary references, you may even get them for free.
