10 month old male, third litter bred and born to us (Tayra do NOT readily breed in captivity). Used in our education programs. NOT selling as a "pet."

Strongly human imprinted and will take treats from Zoo Guests (using tongs for guest safety.)

Handled by ZWCC Currator in videos at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTbeeCu9KOg&feature=plcp, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucHxacVKjmo&feature=plcp among other videos posted to YouTube.

We do not and will not guarantee he will warm up to, trust, and respond to future handlers like he does to our Curator. Tayra are HIGH-octane wildlife and require a calm and experienced handler that "reads" animal's cues with species-specific precision.

This Tayra is HIGHLY interactive, and LOVES humans and puts on a great show whenever guests approach (he is clucking, clicking and bouncing as soon as he even hears strangers' voices). He is intact and would also make a wonderful breeding male for a like-kind female (breeding Tayra in captivity is tricky).

Asking $2500 or trade toward 3-6 week old healthy female spider monkey of any hybrid or sub-species.
Our Curator is willing to share any and all information she has on how to breed and work with such a high-rev animals as Tayra. If you are local or on our delivery route, our Curator is even willing to give you hands-on training, you are also welcome to visit us for handling-training.
