- Searching for a pair of Degus. I have researched their temperments and how to care for them. I am willing and able to purchase the needed equipment. I think they would make great support pets for my 20-year-old daughter. She is in her last year of college and will be 21 in Ma., She suffers from depression, her last pet was a rat with whom she loved and cared for. He just got old and she is devastated.
