- The avian and exotic service at Animal Emergency and Specialty Center provides primary care, referral, and emergency services to a variety of pet exotic species including birds (parrots, chickens, turkeys, ducks, other fowl, pigeons), exotic mammals (guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, sugar gliders, chinchillas, ferrets, rats, mice, hedgehogs, small exotic felines and canines), reptiles (excluding venomous animals), amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. We offer a wide variety of veterinary care for exotic pets. Services including, but not limited to:
Yearly wellness care including physical examination, routine blood work, and vaccinations as recommended
Small mammal dental care
Species specific grooming including nail, beak, and wing trims
Adoption, behavior, diet, and husbandry consultation
Emergency evaluation and care
Hospitalization in an exotics-only ward
Soft tissue and orthopedic surgery
Endoscopic procedures
Advanced imaging (digital radiographs, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT)
Species-specific laboratory testing
Health certificates
