  • The best thing about sugar gliders is they return to you as much love as you give them. The worse thing about sugar gliders is their cage smells. I do not want to expose my gliders to harmful chemicals in commercial odor control products. The best thing I have found to get rid of the cage smell is baking soda. Baking soda absorbs smells out of the air. But if you put baking soda in your gliders cage it can be toxic to them. Even if you put it in the poop tray little hands can reach down and get it on their fingers and little fingers go otni little mouths. I will not put anything in my gliders cage that I would not put otni their mouth. So I made a “smell box”, which hangs on the outside of the cage. It is made so gliders cannot reach otni the box from inside the cage, SO IT IS SAFE. Just fill the box with baking soda and the soda absorbs the bad order coming from your gliders cage. When I first came up with this idea I was not sure it would work. I made the first box and hung it on my cage. I was really surprised at how well it did work. I have not smelt my gliders since I hung the smell box on my cage. I am now making them for my friends who have gliders and I can make one for you.
