- Cairo is a 1.5 year old male fennec fox. He was raised by Christa Barker of Tree Top Exotics in Florida, and has been kept indoors as a pet. He’s friendly and curious, but like your typical fennec he can be skittish and reserved. He’ll take food out of your hand with patience, and play with toys when you shake them in front of him. I have done a small amount of target and crate training with him for ease of handling, but it’s been some time since we worked on that routine, so he may take some time to pick it back up.
He would make for a good exhibit animal, or breeder
